This 16-bay RAID array by Storage Heaven delivers reliable data protection combined with the high performance of 2Gbit Fiber Channel host interface and quad Ultra320 SCSI disk channels to support a wide variety of business applications. Engineered to meet stringent demands for continuous availability, Tornado 416F RAID array features a powerful 64-bit RISC processor for blazingly fast I/O operations, ASIC assisted parity calculation, completely cableless backplane-based design, and storage capacities reaching 5TB in a small 3U enclosure.

Low service and integration costs are assured by the Tornado's cableless design, two redundant hot-swappable power supplies, turbo cooling fans, and embedded RAID controller. Three year warranty comes standard with every array and covers all components.

  2. Maximum capacity 4800GB when using 300GB drives.
  3. Scaleable to hundreds of Terabytes in a switched FC environment.

  1. Exclusive RAIDm monitoring and notification software provides instant access to the status of the RAID Array and allows for 24x7 RAID monitoring and notification.
  2. Dual FC host connection can support multiple hosts simultaneously. Perfect for clustered environments, e.g. MSCS - Microsoft Cluster Server.
  3. Up to sixteen low-profile SCA Wide/Ultra3/LVD 3.5" SCSI disk drives.
  4. RAID controller provides RAID 0, 0+1, 1, 3, and 5, Global Hot Spare Disk, Auto Rebuild, and up to 1GB of SO-DIMM SDRAM-based data cache.
  5. Intelligent SCSI backplane design (uses no cables) allows "hot swapping" of disk canisters, power supplies, and fans for increased reliability, lower cost, and ease of maintenance.
