DVD-RAM &
DVD-RW Writer for UNIX Platform - Cobre
Cobre DVD-RAM/DVD-R 9.4/4.7GB Ultra SCSI Unix kit
The Cobre DVD drive is a professional all-in-one DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW for UNIX and Linux Platforms. Capable of recording digital data on CD or DVD media, the Cobre DVD MultiDrive allows you to record data, video and MP3s on DVD general use discs, and archive songs, MPEG-2 DVD video or documents. Large-capacity, double-sided media allows for up to 9.4GB of reliable storage space. Utilize the DVD Recordable media's non-rewritable feature optimal for storing and distributing critical data, which should not be overwritten. Otherwise, use the DVD Rewritable media for less sensitive applications where data can be re-written at any time.
The Cobre DVD-RAM
functionality provides users with random-access capabilities, similar
to that of a hard drive, that allows for retrieval of specific files almost
instantly, making it an excellent solution for backup and fast data recovery.
This trusted recording technology (with over 30 years shelf life) delivers
a secure, high-capacity solution for archiving data volumes and is the
perfect alternative to the much outmoded and expensive Magneto-Optical
(MO) technology.
